# Send your first Request

> Send your first Bright Data Unlocker API (98% success rate) request. Walk through authentication, setup and a cURL example that returns unblocked HTML.

Here's an example of the most simple Unlocker API request using cURL that returns a JSON:

```sh theme={null}
curl "https://geo.brdtest.com/welcome.txt" --proxy brd.superproxy.io:33335 --proxy-user brd-customer-<customer_id>-zone-<zone_name>:<zone_password>
```

You can find your API credentials including Username (`Customer_ID`), Zone name, and Password, within your proxy zone’s ‘Overview’ tab.

All zones have passwords that are used for authentication                                                |
