# Payment

> Answers to common payment questions for Bright Data accounts, including prepayment, automatic recharging, and accepted payment methods.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to sign in online to deposit the prepayment funds?">
    Yes, we send a prepayment billing request to your email which can be completed from the [billing page](https://brightdata.com/cp/billing).

  <Accordion title="How does automatic recharging work?">
    Users choose between 2 types of payment schedules:

      <Tab title="Monthly recharge">
        If you do not use automatic recharge or decide to turn it off, you will be charged on the 1st of each month for your new month's monthly commitment. If you don't have a plan with a minimum monthly commitment and are using the Pay as you go plan, your account will not be automatically recharged.

      <Tab title="Recharge at a preset amount">
        When you choose this option, you will manually set a charged amount when your balance runs low (at 25% of the configured amount).

        For example, if you choose `$100`, you will be charged `$100`, and then you will get charged `$100` again when your balance reaches `$25`.

  <Accordion title="What is your Payment Verification process?">
    Bright Data maintains high compliance standards based on the principles of deterrence, prevention, and enforcement of malicious activities to ensure that our network is both safe for customers and ethical. It is for this reason that we are requesting that you identify yourself using your preferred payment method. We will perform a per-authorization charge and reward you with an additional \$5 bonus for your help and cooperation.

    These authorizations happen so Bright Data can make sure the card is valid, and check that you have enough funds in your account to make the purchase.

    These are authorization requests and not charges. You don't pay for authorizations.

    Authorizations may stay in your account for 1-14 business days depending on your bank. If you still see the pending authorization after 14 business days, contact your bank for more information.

  <Accordion title="How many Zones can I open in my Bright Data account?">
    You can open up to 50 Zones in your Bright Data account, free of charge. Each extra Zone will cost \$5/month

  <Accordion title="Can I get a refund?">
    Generally - No, the subscription fees are non-refundable. But, exceptions can be made for specific cases - If you believe you are eligible for a refund you can request one by contacting our team or your account manager. Any funds that were added as a promotional bonus  not eligible for refund.
