How to Set Up a Bright Data on Windows
Enhance your online experience with proxies! Whether you’re accessing geo-restricted content, safeguarding your privacy, or securing your device, these tools are a powerful way to optimize your browsing. In this guide, we’ll show you how to set up a proxy server on Windows, step by step, for both Windows 10 and 11.
Setting Up Proxies on Windows
Getting started is simple: Windows 10 and 11 have an identical proxy setup process. Follow these quick steps to configure your settings:
Step 1. Open Network & Internet Settings. Press Windows + I to launch Settings, then navigate to Network & Internet.
Step 2. Enable Automatic Detection. Select Proxy from the sidebar menu. Under Automatic proxy setup, switch Automatically detect settings to On.
Step 3. Set Up Manual Proxy Settings. Scroll to Manual proxy setup, switch Use a proxy server to On, and complete the fields with the following information:
-
Address: Enter
http://brd.superproxy.io/
. -
Port: Use the port number found in your Bright Data dashboard.
Once finished, click Save to confirm your changes.
Windows doesn’t let you save your username and password directly in the proxy settings. Don’t worry! When an app or browser asks for your credentials, just enter your Bright Data Username and Password. For example, if a pop-up appears while browsing, simply fill in the details to continue securely.
All done! Your Windows device is now set up with Bright Data, giving you extra privacy, easy access, and a safer browsing experience. Whether you’re working, streaming, or just exploring, you’re good to go!
